At the Symposium
At the symposium, Secretary Huan Deng extended a warm welcome to Dean Shang Gao and his delegation, and gave a systematic overview of the school's current development and strategic thinking regarding its disciplinary layout, faculty structure, scientific research platform construction, and overall academic strength. Vice Dean Hongyang Zhao then delivered a focused presentation on the construction of the graduate training system, the refinement of the quality assurance mechanisms for talent cultivation, and the exploration of international education pathways.
Dean Shang Gao expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and the sharing of experiences. In the exchange, he showed strong interest in the school's innovative measures regarding mechanisms for attracting high-level talent, the systematic cultivation of young faculty members, and the establishment of talent service and support systems. He also engaged in detailed and in-depth inquiries about the operational model of the Sino-foreign cooperative education programs and the mechanisms for advancing international scientific and technological collaboration. Dean Gao noted that the results achieved by our school in international education and research platform construction were highly inspiring and offered valuable points of reference.
Both sides agreed that the exchange not only enhanced mutual understanding and trust but also laid a solid foundation for pragmatic cooperation in the future in areas such as collaborative disciplinary development, joint talent cultivation, coordinated scientific research, the recruitment and development of high-level talent, and the expansion of international collaboration. Moving forward, the two schools will continue to strengthen communication and collaboration, actively promoting the higher-quality development of the materials science discipline.
